CORRESPONDENCE.
(To the Editor.) Sir,—l would like to make a suggestion relative to the £IOOO Park effort organised by Mrs. Burgess during the war, and even now she is the moving spirit in connection with many affairs connected with our town. Would it not be possible to get the assistance of the various chijrches in this town to help lier in the working of the stalls at the Coronation Hall? Doubtless people are all aware of the splendid sums realised through the Saturday Mart days during the war, and I- feel assured that if the churches entered into the arranging of a stall at the hall during "Carnival Park Week" an excellent sum would be .raised to help our greatest asset, our Park. Apart from the fact that keen competition would be assured by the various denominations in endeavoring to raiso funds, I feel sure that people realise that in order to even better the Park,, money must be spent, and why not the help of all in getting this money?—l am, etc., A YOUNG MAN OF THE TOWN.
