_ • ■TROUBLE IN AUSTRALIA. ; FOR SHIPPERS. —Press Assn.—Copyright. Received July 21, 10.45 p.m. Melbourne, July 21. At the Jlnal session of the Premiers' Conference, Mr. Hughes created a sensation by. declining to prolong the Federal'.Wheat pool, declaring that each State must look after its own producers in the coming harvest. This action is apparently the outcome of a conflict between the Commonw<h Line steamers and the shipping combine, which Mr. Hughes informed the conference was- trying to drive the Federal Line off _ the seas. He stated the fight la being' waged on. lines which, entirely deprived the Federal steamers of back lending to Australia. In view of ibis, the Sites Will be in a precarious posntan wlMn shifting the nest harvest, as itls inferred the combine will refuse to Handle any of the new crop unless given the transport of the whole, and the Federal steamers will only be able to rtfcove a small part. The State Ministers of Agriculture will nekt on Friday to consider the aiatier. — jta*.-&Z. Cable Assn.
