In connection with the "Wonderland" which is being organised for the children during "Carnival Park Week," two interesting competitions are being held, one for boys under 14 years of age and one. for girls under 14 years. The competition for the boys will take the form of building the most original article with the Meccano set (using up to No set Meccano), and for fir9t prize a No. 3 Meccano donated by Mr. Brooker, of the 8.K., will be given.' The competition for the gfrls will be the making of any article \ntli permoilelle, the prize for the beHt article being goods to the value of £2 on a local draper. The competition is open to all children and n small entrance fee of Cd will be charged each child entering the competition. The articles made by the children will be exhibited at the Coronation Hall and the little folks interested in it may commence to make their model as soon as they wish. Entries close on Tuesday evening, August 10, when all exhibit', must be handed in to the committee in charge of "Wonderland" for judging. The articles made by the children must have the address of the child mi it and also a statement from the paren'-; of the children that the work was yimin by the chil'l without assistance.
