LABOR TROUBLES.
UNREST IN NEW SOUTH WALES. HOURS OF WORK INVOLVED. By Telecraph—rress Assn.—CosyrlßUt. Received July 13, 10.25 p.m. Sydney, July 10, Firemen and engine-drivers and the coal-mining industry are demanding stop-work meetings throughout the State, claiming that the Prime Minister's reply to tlieir application for a tribunal to hear tlieir claims is unsatisfactory. Unless a satisfactory reply ft received by Tuesday night the meetings will be held. The Graziers' Association, representing over six thousand graziers, holding flocks totalling 20,000,000 sheep, refuses to concede the shearers' demand for a forty-four hours week, stating it is a matter for the Arbitration Court to decide, as it is a national question and extends far beyond shearing, having a hearing on general labor on station, farm, and on city industries. Therefore the graziers are determined to fight against the imposition of reduced hours. .—Aus,-N,Z, Sable Aa»a»
