Anybody who has read "The Little Shepherd of Kingdom , Come," John Fox's famous story of the Kentucky people, will like "Bill ApPerson's Boy," a film adaptation by tne First National of the storv "That Woman," a fine depiction of live love and hate amongst the simple hill folk of thftt region. The role of the "boy" has been given to Jack Pickford, and the result is a fine character study of a wayward youth who objects to his father's second marriage and raises no end of a disturbance, The outbreak 'of a real old Kentucky family fued is one Of the striking features of the play, which Is neter dull; humor alternating with pa thou, comedy with tragedy, in rapid puecesaion. The full programme is showing at the matinee this afternon and again for the last time to-night. THE PEOPLE'S. BESSIE LOVE IN "A FIGHTING COLLEEN." To-day's new bill presents the charmin gand versatile Vitagraph star, Bessie Love, in an Irish romantic comedy-drama "The Fighting Colleen." Her yonng man loved her enough to fight for her, and sh.t •could not do less than fight for hirii, so she proceeded ty clean np the alley with her hated rival, and enjoy "happiness a la cartee." While it is not heavy or melodramatic, it has a light romance angle, pathos occasionally, and altogether is an entertaining comedy-drama with a human appeal. The bill' includes latesi Gazette, comedy and interest films, and the matinee to-day commences at 2 p.m.
