ALLEGED TRAFFICKING IN STORES. By Teleernph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. Allegations of trafficking in war stores at Sling Camp were made during the hearing of a by-law case at the Magistrate's Court against Hjrold Roy Paynter, A police witness named Henry Mumo Fulton, cross-examined by counsel for the defendant, said he knew Paynter before and during the war. Witness was not concerned in any theft of stores in London in connection with which Paynter, who was in the military police, made inquiries. He did not take part in any trafficking in motor cars, but bought three cars In Ireland and sold them m England. At the time of the alleged trafficking he was employed in kit stores. The military police never questioned him with regard to the disposal of war stores.
