There was an extraordinary scene' in the House of Representatives after Mr. Hughes refused to discuss the Father Jerger case. Mr. Tudor attempted to move a censure motion, f>ut before he commenced a woman Sn the gallery shouted loudly at Mr. Hughes regarding the treatment of Father Jerger, and then threw into the Chamber a bundle of literature on the subject. This was the signal for concerted action on the part of other women in the gallery, who screamed: "Why don T t you give him a fair trial, you dirty rotter," and then they showered printed statements upon the heads of those bellow.
