Constantinople messages state that the Sultan after an extraordinary meeting of Cabinet, expressed a desire for peace to be concluded immediately in order to end the state of chaos in the country. Cabinet telegraphed the delegation in Anatolia to this effect. On the contrary, public opinion opposes signing the Treaty in its present form. The British have taken over the supreme command in Constantinople.
