THE GREAT WESTERN TIMBER COMPANY, LTD.
This company is being formed with a capital of £125,000 to open up 10,000 acres of forest in South Westland, alongside the port of Okarito. When in full operation—say after twelve months—the company hopes to have an export of six million feet of timber per annum from the three mills which it is intended to establish. With the prevailing keen demand for timber, and the high prices which are sure to be maintained in the future, the financial prospects 'of the company are very bright.
