FIRST OFFICIAL VISIT. [. Dr. Monk, health officer of the newlyconstituted Wanganui-Taranaki health district, paid his first official visit to New Plymouth yesterday, to dfscuss with the local authorities matters of sanitation and public health. The new health district w%s recently separated from the Wellington district owing to the necessity of closer supervision, and it was taken over'by Dr. Monk, whose headquarters are at' Wanganui, on July 1. Dr. Monk leaves for Wanganui this morning.
