BANK OF NEW ZEALAND.

At the annual meeting of the Bank of - New Zealand, held in Wellington recently, the chairman of directors—Mr. Harold Beauchamp—dealt in his usual masterly manner with all phases' of the Dominion's financial problems. Mr Beauchamp made it quite clear that speculation should be discouraged, while development and legitimate investment were most desirable. The Great Western Timber Co., Ltd., is being formed for the purpose of cut- - ting the finest forests in the Dominion, and as a result of such clearing of th* country, wonderful, development will * take place. 'Shareholders in this great undertaking are, therefore, assisting in a. national duty. Applications for share* will be received by any branch of th* Bank of New Zealand, or from Mr. J. S. S. Medley, Egmont Street, New Plymouth, or Messrs Frank Graham and Son, Christchurch, from whom. prospectus may. be had.
