THE EMPIRE. LAST NIGHT OF "GINGER MICK." 'The splendid Australian film "Ginger Mick." will conclude its tocal season at the Empire Theatre to-niplit. They all figure in this wonderful film—Ginger Mick, his sweetheart, Rose, the immortal Jilokc, and his wife Doreen. You follow the fortunes of "Mick" as a casual cove, frequently in trouble with the 'Johns' and the 'Bench.' Yon see him as a soldier, you escort him to the front, and share , in his final triumph of heroism at Sari Bair. The booking is very .heavy for this evening's screening, and those ' desiring a seat should Veserve without delay. EVERYBODY'S. MATINEE TO-DAY AT 2 P.M. Xo one who attends the'afternoon or night session at Everybody's to-dav will he in any way disappointed in the brilliant double programme that is showing. Two five reel features are included in the bill, and they are both fino. productions well up to special feature standard. Tom Mix excels in a Fox; feature "Ace High," which introduces a thrilling story of life in the Canadian North-West and i Alaska, as lived by the Canadian
Mounted Police. The other feature is a World film production "The Foe Defender," and its excellence can be judged by the cast, which includes June Elvidge, Madge Evans, and Frank Mayo. To-night will bp the final screening. COMING MONDAY. NORMA TALMADGE IN "POPPY." Kept prisoner in a magnificent tome in South Africa, a young woman wanders out into the garden on a moonlit tropical night. A young man, stricken with jungle fever and half delirious, 1 eludes his servants, and in his aimless roaming of the streets, finds his way into the retreat, the gate of which lias been inadvertently left unlocked. The two fall in love at sight, and part after one ecstatic 'hour, not learning each other's names. This is only one of the important situations in "Poppy," which will be the feature attraction at Everybody's Theatre on Monday and Tuesday. The star is Miss Norma Talmadge, who is in the front rank of screen favorites. The story Is the popular novel by Cynthia Stockley. It is directed by Edward Jose, who formerly lived in South Africa, and has given the scenes a strongly realistic flavor. THE PEOPLE'S. "THE CLIMBERS"— I TO-DAY AND TONIGHT. To-day's big new bill at the People's presents the sis-reel Vitagraph superfeature "The Climbers" starring beautiful Corinne Griffith. Miss Griffith has never secured a more congenial role, rfnd is mostly ably supported. Unlike, many screen versions of stage successes "The Climbers" has proven excellent photoplay material and much of the sparkle which characterises this playwright's works has been retained in the picture. The story value of the remains untouched and' tnereforo, one of the best pictures of the season may be expected. The supporting cast in this picture contains many notable names, tvliifh include Hugh Huntley as Richard Stirley, and Percy Marmont as Ned Warren. The feature is a remarkable technical success, as well as a strong dramatic offering. The bill includes, gazette and corqedy. The matinee commences to-day at 2 p.m.
