BRITISH LABOR'S THREAT. MILITARY ACTION CONDEMNED. By Telegraph.—Press Asst.—Copyright. Received July 9, 5.5 p.m. London, July 8. The miners' conference passed a resolution advising delegates to the forthcoming trades congress that unless the Government withdraws troops from Ireland and ceases the production of munitions for Russia and Ireland, a general order to "down tools" will be recommended, with ballots wherever necessary. The conference also passed a resolution refusing to operate the Mines Bill if passed, and urging the Labor Party to vigorously oppose the measure.—Aus.N.Z, Cable Assn.
