At the Industrial Workers of the World inquiry at Sydney, Mr. Justice Ewing intimated that the report would probably be ready on Saturday week. The Sydney police state that Eugenie Fallini, the woman who posed as a man, came from New Zealand over twenty years ago. Whether her husband is dead i\r still a resident there is unknown. At the sheep sales at Sydney merinos maintained a strong demand and good prices. South African buyers secured a considerable number. Two Boonoke rams brought 600 guineas and 525 guineas. Mr. N. Rutherford, New Zealand, secured a Koonoona ram for 200 guineas. 'Mr. G. R. Rutherford paid 75 guineas and 125 guineas for two from the same flock. Negotiations are in progress between pastoralists #nd the Australian Workers' Union in regard to shearing rates and other matters affecting the pastoral industry. There are prospects of a satisfactory settlement for the whole of the Commonwealth. Shearers are asking that the rates be fixed on the basis of those ruling in Queensland.
