THE EMPIRE. "GINGER MICK" TO-NIGHT. The superlative six; reel screen production of "The Story of Ginger Mick, as told :by his cobber The Sentimental Bloke," will be presented ror the first time in New Plymouth at the Umpire Theatre for a reason of three nignts, commencing to-night. The vast army of readers created by C. J. Dennis, and to whom the Bloke, Doreen, and Ginger Mick are something more than mere characters of fiction, will, welcome this second E. J. Carroll production even more warmly than they did its predecessor the "Sentimental Bloke." The box plan is now open ai Colliers'. A special matinee of "Ginger Mick" will be given at 3.15 to-morrow. EVERYBODY'S. LAST NIGHT OF "THE AMERICAN WAY." " " Arthur Ashley and Dorothy Green are to be seen in a powerful dramatic picture entitled, "The American Way," for the last time to-night at Everybody's. The story is of a young English lord who decides to go to America to prove to his old father that he is a real man, and can rough it tne same as any other ordinary man. TO-MORROW, A BIG DOUBLE BILL. A big double feature programme will be shown to-morrow and Saturday, when Tom Mix will star in the Fox feature, Ace High," and June Elvidge and Madge Evans in the World film, "The Love Defender." THE PEOPLE'S. VIOLA DANA TO-NIGHT. Delightful and vivacious Viola Dana, star of many a fine "Metro" play, head 3 to-night's new bill in her latest starring vehicle "The Microbe." "The Microbe," ts a story of love, passion and intrigue, which shows Viola Dana in a new light of cleverness. The young star plays the part of a waif of the East Side who is rescued and taken to his home by D.> Witt Spense, a noted author. This girl known as The Microbe, grows passionately devoted -to her benefactor, but finds that his friends— particularly his women friends—are against her. Overhearing them say that she will be his ruination she leaves and spends her time trying to make enough money to repay Do Witt for his kindness to her. How she is the means of re-kindling his lost ambition and bringing him to the topmost bough., of fame and happiness is what makes the play a masterpiece of the screen's best art. The bill includes latest Gazette and episode 3 of "The Strange Case of Mary Page."
