DOMINION SHOW.

-.EXHIBITION AT HAWE3A. PEOPLE'S DAY. i 1 FURTHER LIST OF AWARDS. i The Hawera Winter Show was continued yesterday with conspicuous success. .Special trains brought a large hillux of visitors to the town, and the 1 big show buildings were crowded both ; day and night. The stalls and side shows all did splendid business, and the . demonstrations in the machinery room attracted a great deal of interest from the visitors. The motor-car section, which is one of the largest displays of ! cars and lorries held in the North Island, was again a special feature of the show. The display of school children's work , proved a great attraction to the visitors, i also the very excellent exhibitions made by the Hawera and Wauganui technical schools. The work ot the pupils was very favorably commented on as indicating the value of the instruction which , is given in the technical schools. Another interesting display is that made by the 'Hawera Acclimatisation Society, and the society is to be complimented j upon the attractiveness of its exhibit. : The show will be continued again to- ] day, and for the remainder of this ( ' week. ATTRACTIVE MOTOR EXHIBIT. An exceedingly attractive motor exhibit at the Winter Show is that of C. L. Wilson's motor supplies, Eltham. This live Taranaki motor firm shows two examples of English motor vehicles of the highest class of manufacture. One is a Leyland 4-ton truck, which is one of four models used throughout the war,by the Royal Air Force, and of which over 7000 were supplied.. Another exhibit, which is one of the most interesting at the show, is a post-war model Vanxliall touring car, which is an ocular example of England's participation in the colonial motor markets. It is a beautiful ear, and shows every evidence of a continuation of the high standard adopted in the past by English motor car manufacturers. This firm is also showing a Maxwell ■touring car and also a Maxwell 3seater, which, for light cars, are recognised as among America's best production;. A Maxwell 30-cwt. truck, fitted with solid back tyres and pneumatic front tyres, which is also shown, is sold at the remarkably low price of £550. In the accessories' and spare parts line there is a splendid display of Leyland lorries and Maxwell car spare parts While in another part of the building the same : firm shows an excellent example of high- . class motor ear painting done at its \ workshop's. • THE FARMERS' CO-OP. DISPLAY. (Published by Arrangement.) To meet the many and various require- ' ments of its shareholders, this progres- ■ sive firm is daily adding to its great i stock fresh lines of farmers' requisite;, ' and the numerous articles exhibited by i this firm indicates that the day is not - far distant when farmers will be able to > obtain practically all their requirements , from their own 'Society, and thus fully [ reap the benefits of true co-operation f which has been the aim of this company since its inception. The various lines of .' agricultural seeds sold by the company are set off in small bags, each ba.' giving ' a description of its contents, and a number of well-known plant 9 are exhibmi growing in small boxes, thus demanstrat[l ing the good germinating quality of these ', seeds. A department has been started I. for the manufacture of animal and vetD crinary remedier, and a good lUpliiy of li -the various lines manufactured is shown g on the stand. Having obtained the sol; afenoy for Co.-»p. Oil Coats, they are exhibiting them for the first time in thj . district, and no doubt this line will soon ' be as popular as they are in other dis- [' tricts. At the request of a number of farmers a good selection of seed wheat ; - suitable for Taranaki has been obtained from the. South, and orders are now a being booked for these lines. All farmif ers are strongly urged to sow a small ur acreage of wheat, and thus ensure a supply for next season, as no doubt wheat will be as scarce as during the coming season. This firm has also been appointed sole agents for Sinus Snowhite Cleanser, which is invaluable for the proper cleansing of dairy utensils and '• milking machines. The silver shield pre- ~ sented by the Eltham branch to the district schools for a potato growing competition is on exhibition, also a diagram showing the different yields of various lines grown by the school children. This diagram should prove instructive to intending potato growers. Among the numerous lines exhibited, the following are the most noticeable: —Cooper'B Seeds, r with a collection of vegetables, etc., ) grown by this well-known firm; Co-op , branding paint, Primrose calf, stock, and | poultry foods, Co-op. and cow covers. Meggitt's linseed meal and stock foods. The following Is the additional prize list : PHOTOGRAPHY. Card of nine snaps—.T. I). Hay (New Plymonth) 1, H. Penn (New Plymouth) 2, Mrß. W.
