FARMERS' CO-OP. REPORT, At Elthnm, on Wednesday, we had a fait yarding and sold most lines at the hammer. The domand for young stock was slightly better than late sales. Good conditioned 3 to 4-year bullocks brought £l3 18s, store cows £3 10s to £5, better sorts to £7, fat cows £ll, yearling heifers, Holsteln, good £4 to £4 ss, ditto steers 395, empty heifers £G 10s. At Hawera yards, on Thursday, we report a good yarding of sheep and cattle. Practically all ffns sold at the hammer. Wethers, 6-tooth and fm. 29s 3d, empty ewes 32s 3d, cull ditto 13s Gd, good lambs 23s Od to 24s !)d, others 10s Id, light coirs £3 12s tid to £5 2s od, better sorts to £B/ fat ditto £l3 15s, yearling heifers £3 to £5 Is, d|tto steers 25s to 355. In the dairy pens we offered Messrs. Crockers' Bros. hord. Best cows brought £2l to £25 10s, others showing some age £lO to £ls. On account of Mr. Barkla, Jersey springing heifers brought £23 10s, others £ls to £lB. On account of other vendors, good dairy heifers and cows sold well. At our Waverley yards, on Friday, we had a fair entry of sheep and cattle, and all lines sold well. Lambs brought to 17s 9d, others 13s 9d to lGs, good line of ewes 30s, forward store cows £7 Ss, Shorthorn bull £5 ss, empty heifers £6 9s, yearling heifers £4 14s, dairy heifer and calf £l9, springing heifers £l4 to £lB 15s. On Friday, June 25, we conducted a olearlng sales on account r,t Mr. S. C, Bae, Glover Road, Hawera. Owing to the very stormy weather there was not a big attendance, but despite this a fair sale resulted. The herd, which was In tip-top condition, averaged £2O ; 15s, the best sorts reaching £29. , pigs and farm implements sold at late rates. On Saturday, 20th June, we held a sale account of Mr. J. J. Patterson, at Kaupokonut. There was a large attendance, bidding was brisk and a satisfactory sale resulted. Best dairy cows £2O to £2B, others £G to £ls. A large number or pigs were offered and competition was keen. Sows to farrow £5 5s to £lO, sow and litters £5 10s to £lO, light Btores £2 to £3, suckers 26s to 80s, horses and farm Implements, etc., brought full market value. On tile same day we hold a most satisfactory sale on account of Mr. A. P. Cuff, Ngaere. The herd was In excellent condition, and were good dairy sorts. Bidding was free throughout. The average for the herd was well over £23. Implements also brought full value. On Monday, wo had a sale of pedigree and grade Priesians on account of Mr. C. A, Clarke, Oakland Park, Hawera. A most satisfactory sale was conducted, the results of which have already been published. ■' I At Mangatoltl, on Tuesday, we conducted a sale on account of Mrs. T. Phillips. There was not a large attendance of buyers. Young and good dairy sorts sold well, the best prices ranging from £ls to £2B, gdod mlied yearling heifers £4 2s, ditto steers £2 ss, implements and sundries sold well. At Normanby, on Tuesday, we held a sale on. account of Mr. C. J. Preston. • Buyers were In attendance, bidding brisk, and a good sale resulted. Pigs: Sows and litter £4 to £lO, slips £1 lis to £2, farm Implements, etc, sold at late rates. On Wednesday, at Talporobenul, wo held a sale on account of Messrs. mcvae nnd McKniglit. There was a good attendance of buyers and the stock brought good market value. The herd averaged over £2O, best sorts bringing up to £25, suudrles and Implements sold at late rates. On Wednesday, we had a clearing sale listed on account of Mr. Mark K. Trott, Mata, but wine to their being a yard sale on the same day in the same district, the Bale was cancelled, and will now take place on the 22nd Inst. Particulars will appear later On Thursday, we held an auction' on account of the executors of the lato W F Young'; estate at Otakeho. Prices'were as follows: Best sorts up to £32, others £ll to £2O. Horses and Implements at late rates. On Friday at our Opunako yards we offered Mr. B. P. Bowman's herd. There was not a large attendance of buyers and iiiost of the cows brought good bidding, the majority going out of the district. The herd averaged close on £l7, best sorts-to £2G. LOAN AND MERCANTILE REPORT. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile (Haiera) report : On Monday, at Opunake, we had a fair yardThere was only a small attendance, and bidding was far from brisk.
