"PUBLIC HOODWINKED."

PRICE TRIBUNALS CRITICISED. By Teleernpli —Presr Association. Christchurch, Last Night. Mr. P. Ellis to-day stated his reason for resigning as a member of the Canterbury Price Investigation Tribunal. He said he was of opinion that he could serve no good purpose by remaining a member. He was convinced the tribunal would find it difficult, if not impossible, to get at the real profiteers. "The whole ! principle is wrqng," added Mr. Ellis, "and in my opinion the tribunals are merely being used as a means to, hoodwink the general public, and prevent them showing their discontent with the' present situation."
