When the Stock Exchange closed yesterday, prices were: Imperial war loans, buyers £B2 10s, sellers £S4 15s; other Government stocks unchanged. Wheat. —The market is quiet and prices steady and unchanged. Flour.—A quantity of imported has been released, including a snail lot of Australian. Oats —lmportetl are 'weak; La Platas on spot 58s 6d to 595. Teas and beans are slow of sale; prices unchanged. The English apple crop promises. to be poor owing to hot weather in spring followed by frosts, also a reaction from the abnormal crop of 1019. Bradford reports that the market remains quiet. Quotations are irregular; 64's 105 d, 56's 7"? d, SO's Bid, 41's 30d. Copper.—Spot £B7 2s Gd, three months £B9 15s, electrolytic £lO3 and £lO7 10s. Lead, £34 5s and £35 Spelter; £4l 10s and £43 ss. Tin, £24(1 15s and £254 10s. Silver.—The market is closed. LONDON MARKETS. HIGH COMMISSIONER'S DEPORT. The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated 2(ith instant, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London;— "Meat.—No chango in price. Good demand for ail descriptions of imported meat, owing to English producers holding off market, in anticipation of high prices w»cn control removed, 4th July. "Butter,—Market Arm. Average price English is £l6 9s. Irish creamery quoted at £l4 14s to £l4 18 salt; £l4 18s, £ls 6s unsalted. Government butter, £l3 6s wholesale; 2s 8d per lb retail. "Cheese.—Canadian spot quoted £8 2s to £8 Ss; c.i.f., £7 lis (id to £7 13s. • "Hemp.—Manila mnrket quiet and steady. Sellers' closing quotations were: .1 grade. April-June and May-July shipments, £59; August-October shipment, £62 10s. New Zealand market continues dull. Sellers quote high points spot, £SO; fair, £54; May-July shipment, £55 and £53 respectively. "Honey.—Market quiet with no alteration In prices." ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. Chrlstchurch, June 30. At Addlngton market to-day there was a much smaller yarding of all classes of stock and prices showed an adjvanee In nearly all classes. Store Sheep.—-The yarding was the smallest of the season, and prices were on a par with last week with a slightly easier tendency for hoggets. Good hoggets, 17s to 21s 4d, inferior hoggets 14s to 16s Od, ewe hoggets 24s lid, fairly good sound-mouth ewes 24s 9d to 28s 9d, aged and inferior ewes 14s to 20s, cull ewes lis 6d to 13s Cd, two-tooth wethers 22s 6d to 265, good, four, six, and eight-tooth Wethers 29s Cd to 31s, inferior four, six, and eight-tooth wethers 17s Cd to 20s. Fat Lambs.—The smallest yarding since the commencement of the season. There Was a spirited .demand, and an advance in values. Extra prime lambs 26s to 40s, prime lambs 28s 4d to 33s Bd, medium lambs 25s Gd to 27s 10s, light and Inferior lombs 21s to 24s 9d. Fat Cattle.—There being Insufficient for butchers' requirements, there was a sharp rise of about 30s a head.- Extra prime steers brought up to £3O, prime £2O 10s to £2B 15s, medium £ls 7s fid to £2O, light and unfinished £9 10s to £ls, extra prime heifers to £25 17s 6d, prime heifers £l4 12s Cd to £l7, light and unfinished £8 10s to £l3 10s, prime cows £l4 to £l9 10s, ordinary cows £8 10s to £l3 ss. Fat Sheep.—ln the absence of competition from freezing buyers, the market eased as the sale progressed, particularly for secondary stuff. Extra prime wethers 48s to 57s 3d, nrlme wethers 40s to 47s 6d, medium wethers 3Gs 9d to to 39s 6(1, lighter wethers 32s 3d to 365. extra' prime ewes 46s to 5.3s Id, prime ewes 38s to 45s Cd, medium owes 32s 3d to 37s 7d, lighter ewes 22s to 31s. Veaiers.—Runners to £9 ss, good vealcrs £4 5s to £5 10s, medium £3 12s 6d, small calves 8s 6d to 325. Dairy Cattle—Good heifers £l2 10s to £22, small and inferior £5 10s to £11), good second and third calvers £l7 to £22, third and fourth calvers £l6 to £24. Store Cattle.—Forward cows £7, 18-month to 2-year steers £5 13s, bulls to £lO 12s 6d Fat Pigs.— Choppers £7 to £lO, baconers £5 10s to £0 10s, extra heavy baconers £7 103 to £8 12s (average price lOd to lid per lb.), light porkers £3 15s to £4 10s, heavy porkers £5 to £5 10s( average price Is Id to Is 2d per lb.)
