Sandule topk charge before they reached the bridge, followed by Youghal, Merry Bob, and Tullilah. At the next jump Two Blues, Pistoller, and Colonel Knut fell. Passing the stand CaVtain W and Mneon lost their riders, Mneon falling and breaking its neck. Sandule was never headed, and stalling off a bold bid by Bright Plume, won by two lengths.
