FARM AND DAIRY.
PEDIGREE FRIESIANS. SALE AT LOWGARTH ON MONDAY. Admirers of the "Black and White" breed will have plenty of opportunities to secure high-class specimens for their dairy herds by attending at the unreserved dispersal sale of pedigree Frieslans on Mr. J. W. J. Uardlner's farm at Low-garth on Monday next. The "mana" of Gardiner in the Friesian ,%orld is great, and few prize lists of agricultural shows within many miles of the homestead have appeared without champion ribbons, cards, and honors being attached to Mr. Gardiner's exhibits. Ho has breeding Frlesians for the past six years, building up his herd from such good blood as was obtained from those famous breeders, Mr. A. J. Gallichan and Mr. W. J. Lovelock; of Palmerston North. The fact that Mr. Gardiner has secured over two hundred and fifty trophies and prizes in threo years should free the most sceptical of any feeling of doubt as to the absolute reliability of these statements. The sole reason for the sale is that Mr. Gardiner is retiring from farming, and intends residing in New Plymouth; therefore, all the cattle will be sold without reserve. Full particulars may be oDtained from the cataogues issued by the auctioneers, Newton King. The sale starts at 11 o'clock.
