ADMINISTRATION OF LAND. j (By Telegraph.—Special Correspondent-.) i Wellington, Last Night. ( The Native Trustee Bill introduced to- < day scekis to provide for the appoint- I ment of a Native Trustee and to make ■ better provision for the administration ] of Native reserves. Apparently' the Na- i tive Trustee is to have control over j lauds now vested in the Public Trustee under the Native Reserves Act and ( other Acts for the reservation of land j for the exclusive benefit of Natives. ( There is- to be established a Native Trust t Office, and the Native Trustee is to be an officer of the. Public Service; also tho ( Deputy-Native Trustee. There is to be £ a Native Trust Board, to consist of the ( N.iti-p Minister: one other member of j the Executive Council, being a Native | or a half-caste, to be appointed by the Governor-General; the Native Trustee, the Under-Secretary of Native Affairs, J the' l'«ider-Secrctary of Lands, and one j other member to be appointed for a term of two years by the GovernorGeneral. The rest of the Bill lays down c administration rules for the office. £
