QUESTIONS BY MR. S. G. SMITH. (By Telegraph—Special Correspondent) Wellington, Last Night. - Mr. S. G. Smith (Taranaki) has given notice to ask the Minister for Defence if he intends to take any steps during this session to secure the full payment of the gratuity to those members of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force who wer* unfairly deprived of a portion of tiie gratuity because they were returned to New Zealand for a period on duty furlough. Mr. Smith is also asking the Minister in charge of Pensions if lie will, during this session, favorably consider making a substantial increase to the pensions now paid to Maori War veteran^
