BOWLING.

ANNUAL MEETING AT INGLEWOOD. Tlie fourteenth annual meeting of the Inglewood Bowling Club was held last week.. Mr. F. Spurdlo presiding. Tlie report congratulated the club on still maintaining a satisfactory position. Kegret was expressed at tho loss of several useful members. Visiting bowlers were loud In their praiso of the green. The club competition resulted as follows:—A section, singles championship, Mr. K. Branch; B section, singles championship, Mr. A. Llle; championship pairs, Messrs. F. Spurdle and S. O. McLaggan; handicap, pairs, Messrs. P. Spurdle' and R. H. Reddes. Thanks were accorded to Messrs. G. Morton and A. llle for donations for champion pairs, to Mr. A. Leslie- for gold medal for champion singles, and to Messrs! Ballin Bros for donation which is to be used to provide ai shield for the B section of the champion singles, also to tho ladies for assisting with the afternoon teas. The 'balance-sheet showed a credit of £l6 109 9d. Tlie report and balance-sheet were adopted. Tho election of officers resulted as follows: President, Mr. P. Spurdle (re-elected); vicepresident, Mr. G. Morton (re-elected) ; hon. secretary, Mr. R. Geddes (re-elected); committee, Messrs. ,las. Wilson, Longbottom, Simcock, and Pcrclval; selector, Mr. P. Spurdle; delegates to Taranakl Bowling Centre, Messrs. Spurdle and fi. Morton. It was resolved that a letter he sent to Mr. T. Marsh, tlie caretaker, expressing the members' appreciation of his services during the past year. A hearty rote of thanks was accorded Mr. | McLaggan for painting the seats at the green free of charge.
