WAITARA.
CATHOLIC BAZAAR. (From Our Own Correspondent.) June 25. The Catholic bazaar in aid of Church funds was opened on Thursday afternoon by the Mayor, in somewhat stormy weather, but the people rolled up in large numbers and good business resulted. The stalls were tastefully arranged with all good things dear to the heart of man, woman, and child, and the decorations were a feature. The following are the stalls and their attendants: Plain and fancy work, Mrs. Potter, Mesdames Cain, Maher, Langman, Anderson, Antonovitch, Misses Langman, Maher, Potter, Jones, Kenshaw, J. Cain; Christmas tree, Misses Finnerty and Millar; plain sewing and fanejwork, Mrs. La Pouple; Mesdames MePherson, McMahon, Finnerty, Loveridge, Lynch, O'Sullivan, Nolan, Millar, A. Frost, Stockman, Misses Tissney, 3'Halloran, Millar, Kyle, Taylor, Gavin; refreshment rooms, Mesdames Fairleather, Oram, Trim, Hutchinson, Quinan, Misses Fairweather and Steel; lowers, cakes, sweets, etc., Mesdames ifoung, Jorard, Wilson, Hoffmann, Hart, Oudby, Badley, Zimmerman, and Misses Wilson and Quinlan. The stall holders! and their assistants made the effect more striking by feeing dressed in fancy costumes. Several side shows did a royal business and kept the fun going. The Waitara Municipal Band, under the conductorship of Mr. C. H. Sampson, played selections outside the hall. The bazaar will conclude on Saturday evening, and jndging by the enthusiasm being shown, a good round sum will be netted.
