GAS DEADLOCK CONTINUES. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—CopyrigSt. Received June 27, 5.5 p.m. Melbourne, June 27. The engine drivers decided to accept the proposals made by the Chamber of Manufactures to resume work on Tuesday. A round table conference between the Union and the Chamber will sit immediately to determine the question of wages. The negotiations between the gas workers and the employers failed, the men refusing to give way in the slightest.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
