ARGENTINE'S PECULIAR POSITION. By Telegraph—Press Assn.— Copyilgfe. Received June 27, 5.5 p.m. Buenos Ayres, June 25. The Argentine Government, after securing by enactment a four peso supertax on wheat in order to obtain funds with which to purchase wheat for the manufacture of bread, is now attempting to negotiate for the wheat supply, it appears the available supply has been contracted for by England, France, Italy, an other foreign Governments, and the Government will be forced to seek wheat abroad.— Aus.-N.Z, Cable Assn.
