At Addlngton market to-day the yardlngs of fat sheep, store sheep, and fat lambs were smaller than those of last week, but In fat cattle a greater number came forward. Store Sheep.—The entries Included a fair number of Southland and West • Coast lines. The sale opened, with a decidedly healthy tone, and a clearance was effected at last week's rates. Good hoggets 17s 6d to 255, inferior hoggets 15s 6d to 16s 9d, good 2 and 4-tooth ewes 325, 4, 6, and 8-tooth ewes 26s to 295, s.ui. ewes 18s 9d to 21s Cd, cull ewes 12s U to 16s 6d, 2-tooth wethers 23s to 28s, 4, 6, and 8-tooth wethers 29s 6d to 355, Inferior 4, 0 and 8-tooth wethere 22s 6d to 26s 9d. Pat Lambs.—The yarding was the smallest for several weeks, comprising 1450, compared with 1650 last week. Owing to the small entry there was a rw'y sale, and, except for inferior stuff, advanced prices were ob- . tained. Freezing buyers again operated to a considerable extent. Extra prime lambs 34s 6d to 475, prime lambs 27s 9d to 33s 9d medium lambs 25s to 27s 3d, light and unfinished 10s 6d to 24s 6d. Fat Sheep. Competition was spirited throughout the sale, prices all round showing an advance. Freezing buyers obtained a good proportion of the entry.
