Third round.—Shlmidzu beat Gobert, 6—l, 10—8, 4—fl, 2—o, o—4. Shiraldzu showed superiority in h>ng driving and beautiful crois-court strokes. Brugnor beat Laurentz, M'avrogordato beat Darson. MIXED DOUBLES. First round.-rMndeimoiselle Lenglen and Patterson beat Miss Lance and Itoper Barrett, C—3, o—o. Miss Lance Is an Australian. As Barrett had no partner, they were officially paired, though they had never met before, and naturally had no' chance against the champions.
