THE DEMOCRATIC CHOICE. CONVENTION NEXT WEEK. By TelegrAph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Washington, June 21. All kinds of speculations are being indulged in concerning the Democratic convention at San Francisco on June 28. Delegates representing the Wilaonian opinion are expected to dominate the convention, although Mr. Bryan and Senator Heed are expected to give the President's forces a stiff fight. A two-thirds majority will be needed by the successful aspirant. Senator Glass anil Air. Bainbrldge Colby (the Secretary of State), before leaving Washington for' San Francisco,' had individual conferences with President Wilson, at which* it is said the President gave them drafts "of the platform which the President wishes to have the Democratic Convention adopt. This platform, it is understood, will tie to take a firm stand for the League of Nations without nullifying reservations, but does not mention the Irish or Prohibition questions. Aus.-N.Z.
