NEW SOUTH WALES LOAN.
GOVERNMENT SECURITIES LOWER. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received June 23, 10.5 p.m. London, June 22. Nearly all Government securities are lower, mostly a quarter per cent. The price ot the New South Wales issue is largely the cause, but the political outlook on the Continent and inlreland is" a contributing factor. Stock Exchange opinion Is that it would have been preferable to offer six per cent, at discount in order to avoid creating a new standard. The Westminster Gazette says the question being asked is whether New South Wales has not offered a new rate somewhat too rapidly.—Aus'-N.Z. Cable Assn.
