A very large conference of persons cw«. nected with the dairy industry to-d»y discussed proposals of the executive "«£ the National Dairy Association in regard to the marketing of butter and cheese.

After a discussion lasting many hours, when some very animated passage* «• occurred, the conference deekttd without dissent, on the motion of Mr. W. D.
