MONTHLY RETURNS. The returns for the New Plymouth trams for the month of May again show an increase over the working of the corresponding month of last year, the increase being £146 15s Bd, and an addition of 19,047 passengers were carried. It is interesting also to note that the car miles have be P en reduced by 404 miles in the month's working. Details: £ s. d. Main Route 1104 2 0 Morley-Eliot Street 78 14 2 Combined Routes 1182 16 2 The following are the monthly records for the working of the 'bus on the Westown, Vogeltown and Frankley Road routes': Passengers carried: Westown 4566, Vogeltown 3034, Frankley Road 322. Total passengers carried 8.142. Total mileage run. 2247. Total amount of fnres received £92 17s fld.
