ANCIENT ORDER OF FORESTERS.

MEETING AT WAITARA. The district officers of the Taranaki Order of Foresters paid an official visit to the half-yearly meeting of Court Raleigh at Wauara last night. P.D.C.R. Bro. Eraser, on behalf of members, extended a hearty welcome to the district officers, which was suitably acknowledged. In acknowledging .the vote the local pourt was congratulated on the progress made in recent years, and those members who had returned from the front were welcomed. Matters of moment to the fraternity were also touched upon, including the decision of the Court to dispose of the hall to the Waitara Returned Soldiers' Association. Two candidates were initiated into the Order, and three proposals for membership accepted. The election of officers for the ensuing term was then taken and the installation ceremony conducted by D.C.E. Bro. Ward as follows: P.C.R., Bro. Draper; S.C.R., Bro. Fowler; S.W., Bro. Andrews; J.W., Bro. Knuckey; S.B„, Bro. E. Clare.

At the conclusion of the ordinary business a social gathering was held. Bro. Fowler presiding at the piano. Toasts, etc., were interspered with vocal pnd other items, the following contributing: Bros. C. and S. Tate, Telfar, Tanner, A. and P. Tunbridge, Hutchings, find J. Andrews. , The district officers intend visiting the Inglewood Court next week.
