AUSTRALIA'S ARTICLE CHEAPER. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received June 16, 8.45 p.m. London, June 16. The newspapers announce that as a result of the restriction of coal export from Britain, a Middleaborough firm has purchased 140,000 tona of Australian coal for delivery in Sweden during the'nest six months. Coal bought in Australia at 22s M. per ton with freight is 160s to 170s per ton, and even then it undersells the British product by 30s. The firm is negotiating for a further 100,000 tons.—Aus.-N.Z.
