SICKNESS IN TARANAKI.
CASES FOR THE PAST WEEK. The following cases of influenza were notified in the Taranaki health district during the week ended at noon on Monday:— Taranaki, 39—one pneumonic (Opunake). Stratford, 38—four severe and five pneumonic at Stratford. Hawera, 27—one pneumonic (Eltham). Patea, 14 mild. The cases of infectious diseases, other than influenza, notified were:— Scarlet fever.—Hawera 1. Diphtheria—Stratford 2, Hawera 4. Pneumonia—Stratford 2, H&Wera 2, Patea 2. Varicella—faranaki 2, Hawera 9.
