A wireless message has been received which states that Trotsky has been murdered and Lenin is a fugitive, as the result of n counter-revolution. A new Government has been established under General Brusilov.—Renter Service. Received June il j, 7.30 p.m.
Paris, June 14. _ There is no confirmation in official circles ,in Paris of the reported counterrevolution in Russia under BrusilofT, or of the murder of Trotsky, and the flight of Lenin,—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
[General Alexei Brussilov is a famous Russian commander. He comamnded the dasli of the Russians over the Carpathians in the spring of 1915, and early in 191 C he achieved a remarkable success while in command of the four armies of the Russian Left Wing. •In June, 1917, ho was appointed Com-mander-in-Chief under the Provisional Government, and he led a renewed attack with success. In the following month he resigned.]
