ITALIAN POLITICS.
ANXIETY OVER NEW PREMIER. By Telegraph.—Pieas Assn.—Copyright. Paris, June 10. The newspapers express anxiety lest Signor (iiolitti's return may produce a pro-German trend in Italian polities. Rome, June 10. Signor Giolitti's organ says he will not attend the Spa Conference. It is understood 'that Signor Giolitti has already prepared a list of Ministers, rigidly excluding the pro-war element. Signor Giolitti will insist on the settlement of the Adriatic 'question on the lines of the Pact of London. fiiolittan circles assert that Signor Nitti rode for a fall. The bread decree \viirt only the pretext for his resignation. The real reason was 'that he .found the Adriatic question insoluble. The general strike disturbance in Apulia, iu which many rioters were injured in collision with the police and troops, culminated in a revolutionary outbreak at Bari. The troop? drove the rebels out of new Baru, but the rebels built barricades in the old town and fired on the troops. There were many dead and wounded on both sides.—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn.
A COALITION PROPOSED.' Received June 13, 5.5 p.m. Rome, June 12. Signor Giolitti is attempting to form a Coalition Ministry, including all par-ties.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. A DANGEROUS POLICY. Rome, June 11. Signor Giolitti's organ, Stampa, reports that the new Cabinet intends confiscating colossal fortunes accumulated during the war, and an increase of taxation on property.
