WOOL SALES CONTROVERSY.
SUSPENSION OP NEGOTIATIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received June 13, 5.5 p.m. London, June 11. Mr. Watt suspended the wool negotiations a fortnight ago, when the rupture with Mr. Hughes began to develop. At that time the negotiations had reached the following stage:— The British Government definitely refused Mr. Hughes' request to suspend the London sales for six months, and the Government was prepared to pay Mr. Watt £10,000,000 immediately as the first instalment of profits. ' The Government will shortly publish the report and balance-sheet of the sales to March 31, 1919.—Au5.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
