He thought that moving pictures could be made a great factor in the education of the children and if the Department would take the matter up and provide suitable pictured it would be /easier - to prevent children from attending unsuitable pictures at night, the results of which they fre» qnently had brought before their notice.
The Rev. F. Martin seconded the remit. They had heard so much about bad pictures of late that he thought something should be done and the timo had arrived when they should not only give children a» education, but they should teacli the children how to apply the education given to them. Cinema* togi'aph pictures could be a great help in educating children, provided tlie pic* turps were of the right kind.
Mr. R. Sage heartily supported .Die remit, and remarked that it was tima something was done to eliminate the "silly American drama," and substitute pictures of a more suitable nature.
