COURSING.
OPENING OF THE SEASON. The coursing: season in Taranakf. will be opened on June 30th and July 1 with a combined meeting or the New Plymouth and Eg- ' mouth Coursing Clofcs at New Plymouth. An,' open stake will be held for an unlimited number of dogs on these days, the states j being £25 for the winner. £lO to the runner- ■ up, and two dogs at £3 each. There are now 71 hares at Glen Avon, and a good meeting la expected.
