NEW ZEALAND GETS .£139,300,000, FUTURE PROSPECTS GOOD. Referring to the commandeer of wflol, meat, and dairy produce, the Hon. W, ' Nosworthy, Minister of Agriculture stated at the opening of the Winter Show at New Plymouth yesterday that during the war the Imperial Government paid ,£139,300,000 for New Zealand pre* duee. The Minister said that without thai assistance during the war, New Zealand would, not now be in its prosent pfb"»« ■perous condition, for, not only did tff* country get the benefit of the money, but it was, also provided with, shipping whlclt it would not otherwise have got. Thatf benefit was now ending, and New Zea< land would again have to enter th« world of competition, with no commandeer, no protection, and no guarantee of shipping. Mr. Nosworthy said that he believed the supply of shipping was getting bet* ter, and "there was every prospect o{ , getting the produce away. He also bed ' lieved that good arrangements would bj made, and that they would be success)* ful in marketing their produce at price) which would give every satisfaction to the producers. •' ' '
