EAST COAST DEVELOPMENT. By Telegraph.—Press Association Gisborne, Last Night. The Hon. J O. Coates, Minister of Public Works, received a deputatioi from the East Coast Railway and Development League, which asked for a vigorous policy in pusTiing on the Nap-ier-Gishorne railway, and development ol the Wailcaremoana hydro-electri<! power. Mr. Coates said he realised the importance of completing important railway lines, and also of developing hydro-electricity, promising afareful consideration of the requests.
