LEGION OF FRONTIERSMEN.

[CONFERENCE AT NEW PLYMOUTH. An enthusiastic meeting of the local active, members of the Legion of Frontiersmen was held on Thursday afternoon, at Stratford. The discussion in general turned on the topic of the forthcoming Dominion Conference of tlift Legion of Frontiersmen in New Plymouth on the 23rd of this month. Various remits were submitted and unanimously adopted. With regard t,> the question of uniform, side anus, etc., much animated discussion was held covering these important subjects.

The local members of the Legion of Frontiersmen "are confident of seeing shortly a very strong local sub-unit of this organisation. Lieut.-Colonel C. H. Weston, D.S.O. (in charge of Taranaki Squadron) and stall' will shortly pay a visit to Stratford in connection with the organising locally.
