The rain has puiotically cleared, though much more is required in the dry areas to thoroughly break the drought, Almost the whole of the State has greatly benefited, and the outlook is vastly improved,. It is claimed to have saved the wheat crop from disaster, hundreds of farmers from bankruptcy, and that it will enable pastoralists to Ruve many of their breeding stock, which otherwise would have perished or had to be sacrificed.—Aus.-N.Z.
