The United States continues to be badly hit owing to Canada seeking to prohibit the importation of raw material and force manufacture within the Dominion. The difficulty is in obtaining the necessary machinery, which, aggravates the position in Canada. The crisis there, as elsewhere where there are ample supplies of raw materials, is regarded as only temporary, and .will disappear when machinery is available.—! Reutcr Service.
