STRATFORD LICENSING COMMITTEE.
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Stratford Licensing Committee was held yesterday, Present: Messrs T- A. B. Bailcv, S.M. (chairman), C. D. Sole, J, W. McMillan, W. Hathaway, J. Cleland, and Morison. The following new applications for old houses were granted:— J'olm Harold Quinn, Stratford Club Hotel; George Robert Buchanan, Toko Junction Hotet; Herbert William Barrs, Empire Hotel, Struttord; William Henry Parker, Mt. Egmont Hotel, Midhirst; and Peter Theodor Pedersen, Inglewood Hotel. _ Subject to various repairs being carried out at several of the hotels, renewals of licenses were granted as follows: James O'Malley, Tariki Hotel; William Patrick Kirkwood, County Hotel, Stratford; Cyril Paul Theobald, Commercial Hotel, Stratford; Caroline Rothery, Whangamomona Hotel; Frederick Win. Whittle, Stratford Hotel; David Martin Wilson, Inglewood Hotel; and Ernest! Charles Heal, Railway Hotel, Inglewood. A wholesale license was granted to Daniel Joseph Malone, Stratford. The following transfers were granted: Toko Junction Hotel, from William Henry Parker to George Robert Buchanan; Empire Hotel, Stratford, from Cecil Henry Arden to Herbert William Barrs; Inglewood Hotel, from David Martin Wilson to Petter Theodor Pedersen; Mt. Egmont Hotel, Midhirst, from Catherine Enright to William Henry Parker.' No objections wero made by the police against any of the applications.
