LIFE-SAVING SOCIETY.
NORTH TARANAKI HEAD CENTRE. The monthly meeting of the executive of the Koyal Lire-Saving Society was held on Wednesday evening, Mr. \V. C. Weston presiding Mr. Macdonald was elected a member of the executive and hon. secretary to the Centre. The New Plymouth Borough Council notified tb.it the subsidy of £ls to the Centre for the year ending March 31 had been approved. —A hearty vote of thanks was passed to the Council for its valuable support. Ou the motion of Mr. Christiansen, seconded by Mr. Bennett, a hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mr. N. Winter for the services lie had rendered to the Centre as hon. secretary during the past eighteen months. Mr. Winter who has been transferred to Wellington, was appointed the Centro's delegate to the Domleiitor. Surf Association, Wellington. It was decided to print this year's annual report and balance-sheet in booklet form, the matter to be left In the hands of the president and Mr. Christiansen, The secretary was authorised to remit £2 2s annual affiliation fee to Hie Koyal Life Saving Society, London.
