INGLEWOOD.
THE POLICE STATION. The Mayor (Mr. J. Sutherland) has received the following letter re the above from Mr. K. Matsers, M.P., dated Wellington, May Slat:—"l interviewed the Public Works Department this morning in reference to the erection of a new police station in Inglewood. The position as it stands at present is that the plans are now being prepared, and will be submitted to the Justice Department. I have definite assurance from the Public Wdrks Department that tenders will be called within one month."
