Thursda-v, 27th mat they, In conjunction with Abraham and Williams, Ltd., held a dispersal sale at Te Horo on behalf of the estate of the late R. l). Harkness, This sale created a considerable amount, of interest, and was attended bv buyers from all parts of the North Island, and proved to be the most successful sale yet neiu in the Dominion for pedigree Jersey cattle. The late Mr. Harkness was a keen lover of the Jersey, and spared no time or expense in building up the herd which contained the very best strains. His excellent judgment was clearly demonstrated on Thursday last. The bidding was keen and prices realised constituted n record. The highest priced cow, Cuba Gipsy, was knocked down at 300 guineas. The averages are as follow: tows 115 guineas, yearling heifers ' 73 guineas, heifer calves 03 guineas, 2-year bulls 4.1 guineas, bull calves 40 guineas. Of the latter the calf Walmana General realised 101 guineas. Duncan, was fairly well attended, and considering the very definite decline that has lately taken place in the class w stock offered a good sale resulted.
